Catchin' Up!!!!

Things are progressing along quite nicely at the Haymes House! We continue to make graduation party plans-May 16th, mark your calendars!-and wonder where the time has gone! Christmas came and went..........and that was just fine! ;) My family threw an AMAZING surprise birthday party for my "29th" birthday! It was wonderful! We had a snow/ice storm that afforded us a few days off, Karlee turned double digits (woot-woot!), and we have had Valentine's Day!!! WHEW!!!!!!!! I haven't begun to mention all the little things! ;) Justin pushed ALOT of snow during the storm and we didn't tear up one piece of equipment......can you believe it!?!

I added so many pictures that you will have to scroll down PAST where my posting ends to see them all! I hate that I cannot arrange this like I want! ;)

It's been awhile.............

Ok, ok.....so I know I haven't been so good about my postings! It was a nice thought! ;) Here goes!

As some of you know, the neighborhood we live in is lovingly referred to as 'The Hood' thanks to the pastor of our church! If you want to know WHY, email and I will explain! We even have our very own blogspot!!! So anywho....from now on when you see 'The Hood', just know it is our neighborhood family! So, in September PART of The Hood went to Vegas! It was a BLAST!!! We had an amazing time! We saw alot of really amazing architecture, spent some awesome quality time with the folks we went with, went to see PHANTOM!!! (hear me screaming with excitement?) Justin won a little money, I never touched a machine, and saw ALOT of skin! WOW! We even picked up a new game to play while we were there (LOL!). The girls stayed at home, where they belong, with some more very good friends! All in all, we had a BLAST and are ready to visit again! So then we went into a very disappointing October (laugh) with nothing to look forward to! Kaila played ALOT of tennis, in which she had a very fruitful season! The season ended with a very nice banquet given by her coaches! They put together a nice video featuring the Sr's quite a bit as well as the rest of the team. We had a nice meal as well! Thank you Coach Hannah and McBain. October ended with the Hood-O-Ween in which 'Elvis' made a special appearance. Just imagine JUSTIN in white jumpsuit that may have been a bit too small.....yeah exactly why the pictures are NO WHERE to be found here! ;) We had a super fantastic time! It is an annual event held at the Cantrells. It is a dress up occasion in which you must pay a $2 entry fee. Karlee won the kids pot for her appearance as a Geisha Girl! Elvis got beat out by, get this, JESUS!! I know, I know.....cheaters! ;)

November was busy as well. Seems like we ALWAYS have something going. Karlee swims competitively for Drury University so we were going 90 to nothin' between swim meets and practice! Kaila is always busy with church stuff.......AND we had to take a short trip to OBU (Kailas college choice) for an overnight stay. Since it was DEER SEASON big daddy just couldn't go so....Bethey went along! We had a real blast us three girls! We ate good food, shopped alot, laughed a TON (especially at Murses) and visited the OK city bombing site-somber event but a must! Kaila was able to go to the campus for an overnight stay in which she stayed up till late-thirty, met some neat kids, went to some classes and chapel, and got a small taste of college life! It is upon us folks..........ACK!!! Kaila also went to see the premier of Twilight with some friends and didn't get in till 3 AM....on a school night! What these girls will sacrifice to see a sexy vampire! November was rounded out with the Hood-giving hosted by the Haymes'. We cleared out our living room, added enough table/chair space for 20 and put on a FEAST! Big daddy cooked a turkey on the BGE and we ate, laughed, and played games till late in the night! How blessed we are to have our Hood!

December has started with no slow down of the schedule! Karlee had her annual Christmas Party for Friends! Those girls were a HOOT! We did crafts, THEY stayed up until wee hours of the morning, ate JUNK FOOD, went on a carriage ride, spent a little time in the hot tub, rode the golf cart, dog piled in the living room, and made/decorated sugar cookies! It was wonderful to have the girls in our home again! This weekend will be no different with Kaila taking the ACT, Church Christmas party, Kaila ringing bells for the Salvation Army, Karlee swimming, antlerless deer only season opening, and me traveling! WHEW!!!!!!!!! With all that said, I will try to post some pictures or at least a POSTING sooner rather than later!

For those of you following her surgery status......it is coming along nicely! MAYBE Spring Break! To know more, e-mail me!

I added these pics from Chicago. For those of you who are unaware, we went there in May to see the surgeons who will be doing Kaila's reconstructive facial surgery. We had a really nice time in Chicago, first time we have been there!! We saw alot of really cool things and experienced some, "HMMM" 's!! ;) We will be making a few trips back before the actual surgery takes place.
Hey everyone!! I added a few pics of the recent months! As you can see, we have had a beautiful last couple of months taking pics of our crazy girls!! This was Kaila's very first prom and man did she look like a knock-out!! We started looking in about Dec/Jan for "the dress". We found it in March/April! It was fun and scary at the same time!! Our good friend, Jeanne Combs took.....um....ALL of these pics! ;) It is really nice to have a professional photographer for a friend!! ;) So, if ya need any pics taken....she is the one!! Check out her blog spot, JeanneCombs.blogspot.com--she is awesome!!! Love ya Jean-o!!

We went from prom to end of year stuff! It is crazy for everyone!! Kaila went back to AL for another summer mission trip (will post some pics from that in a day or 2). So, we have a lapse in pictures! While she was away, Miss Karlee spent some time with Jeanne and her very sweet friend, Pikachu. Yes, Karlee and Pika are quite close....as you can see! Pika even comes over for sleepovers at the Haymes house! We love it!!
